白芍（霍思燕 饰）、白芨（陶慧 饰）和白苏（周楚楚 饰）是情同手足的三姐妹，母亲在早年间离开了她们，三个姑娘由父亲白守城（施羽 饰）一手拉车养大。白守成爱女心切，一心希望能够替女儿们安排一个好的前程，但很显然，三个姑娘们对待幸福有着截然不同的定义。

Bai Shao (gespeeld door Huo Siyan), Bai Ji (gespeeld door Tao Hui) en Bai Su (gespeeld door Zhou Chuchu) zijn drie zussen die van elkaar houden. Hun moeder verliet hen in hun jonge jaren, en de drie meisjes werden opgevoed door hun vader Bai Shoucheng (gespeeld door Shi Yu). Bai Shao, Bai Ji, and Bai Su, daughters of a Chinese medicine practitioner named Bai Shou Cheng, are all troubled with relationship problems. Bai Shao and Bai Su don't want to carry on their father's occupation, so they decide to wait until their father remarries, goes to America to start his new life, and then they'll work on their lives. Bai Shao started a fake relationship with Lu Liu An, who is younger than her. Bai Ji's husband is having an affair and decides to divorce her. Bai Su somehow falls in love with a much older man whose profession is also related to the medical field. Within each relationship, there are new problems arising. Seeing his daughters trapped in troubled situations, Bai Shou Cheng decides to stay and delays his trip to America in order to help his daughters achieve happiness.
