I thought it was funny how the film makers chose to point out that both of the basketball players--one who had only gained ~$40,000 and the other only few thousand--were each fined $8,000 for their trouble, but the main gambler/coordinator got 15 months, 3 years probation and "a fine." This led me to do some digging, as that dude made millions in the scheme, and sure enough, according to wikipedia he was fined a whopping $6,000!
This meta-pattern, prevalent throughout our "criminal justice" system, demonstrates yet another disparity in that justice. Did anyone else notice this? And more relevant here, why would the filmmakers choose to disclose the fine amount for each of the players, but not for the gambler?
