I think that's because they know she is basically a broken person. She's somebody who would be getting some serious antidepressants.

She is going to hook up with Ezekiel which will be awesome. At least I hope and then when Ezekiel dies, if he dies, then hopefully she will finally hook up with Daryl. Side note: I just don't think the Rick and Michonne relationship is working. They seemed to have more chemistry as friends and now it seems forced. I wanted them together but now I don't. Rick is better being single.

She looks old enough to be Daryl's mom. Different strokes and all that but I think it's weird.

I don't like this either. Stop protecting her. This sad self-pitying loner version of Carol has gotten boring. Bring her back to her manipulative ways. Or just kill her; at this point, I'd be fine with that too. The writers have just about ruined her character for me.

She doesn't need pampering and sympathy. She needs someone to yell at her for being selfish, tell her what happened to Abraham and Glenn, that she needs to start acting like a grownup again and get her shit together. I'm sorry but that's the mistake people are making. I figured Daryl would be the one to talk some sense into her but he couldn't bring himself to do it. That's what she needs. That's what people who get stuck in a rut of self-pity always need, a kick in the ass to break them out of it. Carol is strong. She's not going to fold no matter what she thinks now. The Saviors stumbling across her little refuge might be the best thing that could happen to her.
