After Rick disappeared in the last six years, something must have happened that they keep alluding to, Michonne seems really distrustful of the Hilltop and really hard edged, Daryl seems out of it, which could be attributed to Rick's disappearance, both of them have X scarring on their backs, Daryl seems to be a little bit more scarred with a scar over his eye, his Biker vest is missing a wing. Maggie left with little Hershel to be with Georgie in some community that's hidden for some reason. Henry asks about the scar above his eye and neither Carol or Daryl explain how he got it. So in between the time that Rick disappeared, which Daryl alluded to, something went down, which they are gradually revealing little by little.

Ep before last Carol quickly ran though a littler list of threats they have all faced and overcome. I forget the names, but they all sounded like groups of marauders, etc. SO any number of things could have gone down. I doubt it was a quiet peaceful six years.
As for Maggie and Michonne? Till Lauren makes a cameo comeback and the two talk we won't know. Or maybe Jesus will spill it to Carol or... it was a super convenient way to let go of Lauren while not killing off Maggie. She's filming a new series.
Michonne did not know she left. It may have had nothing to do with whatever came between them. Sure something happened... she didn't just walk away cause she was sick of Hilltop. And who is the person she is with? I did not recognize the character name.

Georgie made an appearance in the spring finale, she was the one in the van that gave Maggie information on how to re-establish society and in exchange Maggie gave her some record recordings, the Hilltop and Georgie's group established a relationship, however it was only mentioned and not developed, she was only on in one episode, so she was somewhat forgettable, they just mention her in passing. I guess Maggie went there with Hershel to get away from the Drama at the Hilltop and whatever went down after Rick's disappearance.
I see your point about Marauder' s and the like, however, something significant went down that is not mentioned, something bad. They keep alluding to it and it is up to the audience to piece it together.

I remember her now. She showed up with the book about rebuilding things using past tech. Out of the blue having Maggie go off with her especially since I do not recall Georgie having anywhere specific except her van. But that's TV for ya! Thanks!!
As for what went down... eventually we'll be told; I assume!

Yeah, I hope they at least work in Georgie at some point, maybe Lauren based on her availability, mostly to tie up some loose story line threads.

They also put in some info about people coming into Alexandria and turning out to be a-holes, causing Michonne to be suspicious of anyone who tries to get in henceforth.
I can't wait to find out how she and Daryl got those goddarned X's on their bodies... looks pretty savage to me.

Daryl had many scar markings on his back, worse than Michonne. I agree, an interesting thread.

I really want to find out what's up with the X scars. Is it because of guilt or anger that Michonne was reluctant to go to Hilltop? Initially, I was thinking that Maggie might have done that as some sort of punishment. Now I'm thinking that whenever we see Maggie again, she'll have the same scars. It's probably going to be that Michonne let in some people that ended up attacking them. That's why she's so strict with the security protocols. In any case, I don't think we'll get the full story til the back half of the season. I do really like how this season is going so far.

That's a reasonable theory.

Remember Daryl has been out in the wild ever since Rick vanished looking for his body. He said eventually it was easier simply to stay out there. So he was neveer with Michonne or anyone to have gotten the scars at the same time as they did.

I imagine he has probably checked in here and there, at least shortly after the bridge explosion. After the time jump it definitely appears that he's been off on his own for a long time tho. I'm just hoping we find out what the heck has happened before episode 16, lol.

Ha! I have faith in Angela Kang and the show's writers, currently. I believe the show has done a practical 180-degree turn, story-wise, from recent seasons... so it should be fine.

I still am smarting from the the awful second half of "Fear". The first 8 were very good and much better than recent TWD seasons. Then it fell apart. That can happen here.

I forgot to mention, Heath appears to have lost a forearm, which seems to be replaced by some kind of metal limb. I could be wrong, though.

Yes I saw that too.

That was Aaron in episode 2 I think it was. The Walker herd came up on the camp when they were working on the bridge, and Aaron got caught under a huge log that rolled down on his arm. Enid ended up having to amputate it. The metal prosthetic came in handy blocking a walker bite in the last episode.
