IMDB plot synopsis has this to day about the second to last ep:
"In the aftermath of an overwhelming loss, the communities must brave a ferocious blizzard; as one group deals with an enemy from within, another is forced to make a life or death decision."
My money is on Michonne . The actress is slated to leave mid season 10 but seeing they did that twice this year, maybe the producers decided to knock her off in this season? I doubt we'll lose Daryl; but I suppose the King, Henry, Carol, or Inid would be considered an overwhelming loss, too. Still, Michonne tops my guess list due to the aforementioned planned exit.
OR the big loss could be the Whisperers follow the trail to the festival and attack; leaving a bunch of extras dead...
Enemy from within? The Highwaymen of course. Or Lidia if Daryl decides to take her to Alexandria... Or good old Negan!
Life or death?? Who knows when everything is life or death.
Next week sounds like the ultimate filler. A flashback to how Daryl and Michonne got their scars. I do not care.

**Spoiler alert**
If it follows the novels, several characters are killed by the Whisperers, including Ezekiel and Rosita.

I just assumed from reports the actress is leaving that they'd kill gher off rather than have her do a Maggie or Rick. BUT talk on forums also suggests she may be a part of the stand alone Rick TV movies.
spoiler response
Hate to say t but the King and Rosita have run their course. Other than the romantic involvements with other characters, notably Carol, they really do nothing important anymore. I thought there would be more drama over Gabriel purposely letting Negan out to go find Rosita at Hilltop but that was never explored.

I think a TON of major deaths need to happen to shake up this show. Theres way too many characters and story arcs happening to really focus and care about this show. If the Whispers came and killed a ton of the characters we care about that would be a good thing.

I can agree on that. Too many side stories when all most truly care about is Daryl, Carol, Michonne, and that is about it really. Everyone else is dead\gone. But just how many Whisperers are there? I suppose their ace card is being able to lead a ton of walkers to someones door. They alone are not a big threat. And I am sure Eugene did not suddenly stop making bullets and the guns are in storage somewhere. Course raw materials are needed for bullets so... I dunno. Waiting for the firework to start.

So Tara, Enid and Henry count as major deaths? Them and a bunch of red shirts. Please.

I understand the Whisperer storyline in the comic contains more main character deaths than any other. And Alexandria falls for good to a stampede of walkers, or so I've heard (never actually read them). It may not be Alexandria on the show. Could be Kingdom or Hilltop instead. But this is just the beginning.

Also I read a synopsis of the comic story and it states Alpha implores Hilltop to take in Lydia so she'll have a normal life!! If that is to be followed it sure wont be right now.
And if the walkers wipe out Alexandria, the only soul surviving (for a while anyway) will be Negan as he is safe behind a cage!

I agree Tara was annoying and you wondered how she lasted so long. She's chubby and stays chubby and she's a real life scientologist lol.
Henry it looked like they were setting up a big romance arc with him and Alpha's daughter right? following what the comic had with Carl and her but why build that up just to kill him 2 episodes later? LOL
Enid, I found to be boring but at least you could root for her with her JSS motto which could be applied to pretty much anything in real life. She also was filling in as the new medical help or whatever right? So at least she contributed to the team.

They all had story lines on the show, but I just don't think any of them rise to the level of "character deaths that will really upset me." Ezekiel, that would have been big. Or even Gabriel. I found my self hoping as each head was reveled that one would be Henry. At least I got that.

The way they died was shocking more than who.

You know what I read spoilers and missed it live so I watched the replay and it was very dull. I guess if it had bigger central characters die instead it would be more impactful.
Alpha sneaks into the fair and tricks everyone into believing she's a god damn soccer mom wearing that fake hair and a sun hat lol. Can everyone be that stupid or was her disguise and acting just that good?
What was up with that cartoon movie they watched? They could not get a better movie??? lol. It was like a 1950's cartoon knock off of Looney Tunes.

The point with Alpha sneaking in is that no one knew people from the other communities like they used to. So she could walk around unnoticed until Ezekiel happened to bump into her but he did not know who she was, either! That is how any of the others who had to have helped grab all those victims were mingled in. No one knew who was who anymore. And remember no one but Henry and Daryl had seen Alpha.
In the old days movies were always preceded by a cartoon. Also a newsreel, and a short subject (like the Stooges short subjects). So the main feature would have followed.

Im not sure bro. Tara, and like 12 people all saw Alpha that day she appeared and demanded her daughter back remember? For Tara to clean up all nice like that to sneak in is probably unlikely since she's been living like in her own words like a wild animal since the end of the world.
Good point on the cartoon usually opening before the actual movie, but it would have been hilarious if the movie was Love Actually and they all go damn that guy looks hell lot like Rick LOL
