Both were menacing and had intense episodes but Slade being crazy over Shado kinda was a crappy reasoning to target oliver. Prometheus on the other hand had a better reason and had great mindgames. The actor also was phenomenal.

I think once it was revealed he was Adrian he lost pretty much all the menace he had. He was no longer this menacing, faceless and scary play on Arrow. And the fact that Oliver had every chance to kill him made him even less intimidating.

Thats the mind games angle i loved. He put oliver in a awkward spot. And before the reveal , Prometheus was just a standard martial arts fighter no different than any other villain weve seen. Kinda like how Vigilante fell flat. A good reveal of whose under that mask may change how i feel about the character.

I agree. As crazy as Slade was, there is obviously some good still in him. He showed this assisting Oliver at the end of last season, and if Oliver wanted to he could have easily killed him but didn't. You could argue Slade didn't really have a choice, but it seemed to me he wanted to help Oliver. Deathstroke is a bad villain, but Slade himself was not as bad.
Prometheus was worse. He played mind games and had no problem killing as many innocents as he could just to get inside Oliver's head. Yes, Deathstroke made Oliver chose between Thea and his mom, but I see Prometheus as worse. Once he was revealed as Chase, I think he became more chilling...especially when Oliver found out. Oliver has to endure Chase in his office knowing who he was...even after he was captured for a week. That's beyond brazen. In the end, Chase was willing to kill everyone on the island and himself just to complete his revenge on Oliver. AND, it may still not be over.
