The status for upcoming TV shows is automatically changed to "Returning Series" a week in advance. And the first two episodes were released tonight.

I imagine because the same is done with movies. If a user hasn't changed the status of an upcoming TV show or movie a week before it premieres, or left it as "Returning Series" or "Released" after creating the entry, the TMDB-Bot account will always automatically update the status.
