I remember being especially traumatized watching this in it's original run as a child (musta been 6 or 7 years old) and thinking back on it I thought it was just because I was young and easily impressed. I have just watched this again for the first time in nearly 50 years and I can tell you the vampire's creepiness holds up. It just gives me a extra hard dose case of the heebie jeebies. So friggin' scary! The film (its actually a two part series) holds up incredibly well especially for a made for TV project which at the time were lets face it, bottom of the barrel in quality. A must see for any Stephen King fans but I think most people would be able to appreciate it.
