Die Wurzeln dieser Serie liegen in der englischen TV-Legende "Z Cars" von Troy Kennedy Martin. Die von der Polizei verwendeten Streifenwagen waren Ford Zephyrs, daher der Titel. Z Cars’ bekannteste und populärste Figuren waren Detective Chief Inspector Charlie Barlow und Detective Sergeant John Watt, deren Geschichte nach dem vorläufigen Ende von Z Cars mit dem Spin-Off "Softly, Softly" fortgesetzt wurde. |
