To admit that I loved this show.
Was I angered that they were going to turn a beloved movie into an ABC family teen drama, absolutely! Then I watched the pilot and I found myself coming back each episode.

I liked the movie "10 Things I Hate About You (1999)" and I loved Julia Stiles as Kat Stratford, and I knew the actress Lindsey Shaw from the TV sitcom "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide". So having Lindsey play Kat got me interested in watching this television series.
Larry Miller (as Kat's father) was the only familiar face from the movie, so the role of the caring but overly concerned parent was covered.
Lindsey Shaw (as Kat) did a good portrayal of the tough acting.social activist Kat, who watches over her younger sister Bianca.
Meaghan Martin (as Bianca) was also good playing the typical teenager wanting to "fit in" with the popular crowd.
Dana Davis (as Chastity) played the mean popular girl, not Bianca's best friend as in the movie.
Ethan Peck (as Patrick) just wasn't the "bad boy" Heath Ledger was.
Chris Zylka (as Joey) was weak, soft and confused, another "pretty" face. (Will the real Joey stand up?)
Kyle Kaplan ( as Michael) was a bit too "cool" as a geek.
Nicholas Braun (as Cameron) was good as the love-struck puppy of Bianca. He did get GBF very fast, though there might be a lingering attraction between the two showing now an then.
The show had the "feel" of the 90s movie, but the scenes moved too fast at times, skipping from one to another, so it often ended up like sketches stuck together.
Overall, I did enjoy the wild ride while it lasted. Too bad it didn't get another season.

I agree about Nicholas Braun as Cameron. I never bought him as a romantic lead for Bianca, and I was sad that the show ruined Joey and Bianca in favor of Cameron.

I liked that the show took a different approach instead being a copy of the movie. Chastity being the Queen Bee, and Bianca and Kat being the new kids in town were nice changes.
