I think the friction here is that a lot of people have mentioned that this is a case where the rules seem to be resulting in a significantly less than ideal outcome, so maybe instead of sticking so closely to the actual text of the rules, maybe examine what the optimal outcome should be and re-evaluate it. Clearly the decision here is not popular, and the reason is that instead of preserving the data of this season, you are basically indicating that because the show tried to write it off for tax reasons, the database itself should also try to hide the data despite the fact that those episodes WERE still released. You are giving more weight to the intent to bury the season than the existence of the season itself.

This is not the same case. For "The Expanse", the series 4 to 6 were produced for the new broadcaster who has bought the series.

Here, the episodes were produced before the cancellation.

The arrival of that season on Netflix has been confirmed. So, the specials have been moved to season 2.

The date will be added once they are confirmed by Netflix.
