Item: Battlestar Galactica: Season 4
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: So where is episode 21, Daybreak: Part 3? It seems the last two episodes have been merged into one which is kind of against how they're supposed to be listed, how they're actually being listed on the IMDb and Wikipedia among others, and lastly how they're presented on physical media

Sorry, I didn't see that the previous report was private.
Here is the answer given in it : This was originally broadcasted as one single double-length episode as visible in this newspaper snippet from the day of the broadcast.

Thanks. If I remember correctly, however, these were two episodes that aired the same night, like is the case with many other season finales as well. That part is really just poorly worded and misleading. They are de facto two episodes and are recognized as such everywhere except here.
The same is true for episodes like this: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/2025-beverly-hills-90210/season/5/episode/31
They are really two parts. The main difference here is that this specific season finale is commonly being treated as one long episode by the studio and on physical media, which makes it okay and even desirable in terms of metadata.
That is not the case with the two-part Battlestar Galactica episode though.

This was also confirmed in this press release.
I quote : "As previously announced, Friday’s two-hour (9pm to 11pm) episode on SCI FI delivered a 1.7 household rating with 2.4 million total viewers watching live (1.5 million Adults 18-49 and 1.6 million Adults 25-54), becoming the most-watched episode of the series in over three years."
How it was treated after the original broadcast is irrelevant for our listings.
