科学家观测发现一个震惊世人的现象，一颗巨大的小行星正向地球袭来，人类即将遭遇灭顶之灾。为了挽救这场危机，人类提出了大胆的“月盾计划”。独孤月（沈腾 饰）是该计划的一名中级维修工，遥远的月球上，他偷偷暗恋美丽飒爽的指挥长马蓝星（马丽 饰），但是对方却从未将其放在眼里。某天，陨石群提前到达月球表面。驻守月球的人类急速撤离，却偏偏将独孤月遗忘在这里。荒凉的月球上，除了独孤月外，还有一只脾气并不太好的袋鼠。遥远的绝地，独孤月和袋鼠展开了别开生面的求生之旅……

In 2033 mislukte het plan van de mensheid om te voorkomen dat een asteroïde de aarde zou raken en kwam de mensheid om, terwijl Duguyue, een middelgrote dieronderzoeker die op de maan werd vergeten, het geluk had te overleven en de laatste mens in het universum werd. Hij begon te sporten, de basis te verkennen en onbewust zijn eenzame leven op de maan tot een plezier te maken. Zonder dat hij het wist, stuurden de camera's van de basis zijn beelden terug naar de aarde, waar overlevende mensen over de hele wereld zijn leven op de maan live zagen en hem als een rolmodel zagen. Tot hij op een dag merkte dat er een tandafdruk op de taart zat die hij niet had aangeraakt..... Zou het kunnen dat er nog iets anders op de maan is?

In 2033, humanity's plan to block an asteroid from hitting the earth failed, and humanity perished, while Duguyue, a medium animal researcher who was forgotten on the moon, was lucky to survive and became the last human in the universe. He began to exercise, explore the base, and unknowingly make his lonely life on the moon a pleasure. Unbeknownst to him, however, the base cameras transmitted his footage back to Earth, where surviving humans around the globe watched his life on the moon live and saw him as a role model. Until one day, he noticed that there was a tooth mark on the cake that he had not touched... Could it be that there is anything else on the moon?

Em 2033, o plano da humanidade para impedir que um asteróide atingisse a Terra falhou, e a humanidade pereceu, enquanto Duguyue, um investigador de animais médios que foi esquecido na Lua, teve sorte em sobreviver e tornou-se o último humano no universo. Começou a fazer exercício, a explorar a base e, sem saber, a tornar a sua vida solitária na Lua um prazer. Sem que ele soubesse, porém, as câmaras da base transmitiram as suas imagens de volta para a Terra, onde os humanos sobreviventes em todo o globo assistiram à sua vida na Lua em direto e viram-no como um modelo. Até que um dia reparou que havia uma marca de dentes no bolo que não tinha tocado... Será que há mais alguma coisa na lua?
