This TV show will air Sundays on the Paramount+ with Showtime linear channel (formerly Showtime) but will have early digital releases on Fridays on Paramount+ for Paramount+ Premium (formerly the Paramount+ with Showtime plan) subscribers. The series will otherwise not available on regular Paramount+.

Does it really matter where and how it is released as long as it is out?
Shows exclusive to Netlfix are only available to subscribers, so shouldn't the same logic be applied in here?

The same logic does apply. These are Paramount+ with Showtime shows that are available to both Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers and Paramount+ Premium subscribers (formerly the Paramount+ with Showtime plan) but not Essential subscribers.
Seeing as the show airs on Sundays for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers but is released early for Paramount+ Premium subscribers, the former is the actual air date and the latter is an early digital preview.
