《东北往事之江湖儿女》讲述了九一八事变之后，日本侵略者欲将东北地区的林口镇变成第一个日本以外的主权地，并且紧锣密鼓的压迫林口镇“正北货栈”的老板方振宇，希望将方振宇变成傀儡镇长而达到控制林口镇的目的，胡兵饰演的方振宇不从就被日军迫害，军统处干将罗天华乔装为店铺老板潜伏在林口镇，日本人的每一布计划罗天华都在暗中清晰捕捉到，为了促成抗日联军，林江国饰演的罗天华找到方振宇，游说加入抗日联军，为了达到目的，更是不惜用尽计谋。

This drama tells the story that after the September 18th Incident, the Japanese invaders intended to turn Linkou Town in the Northeast region into the first sovereign territory outside Japan. They vigorously oppressed Fang Zhenyu, the owner of the "Zhengbei Goods Store" in Linkou Town, hoping to turn Fang Zhenyu into a puppet mayor to achieve the goal of controlling Linkou Town. Fang Zhenyu, played by Hu Bing, was persecuted by the Japanese army when he refused. Luo Tianhua, a capable officer of the Military Statistics Bureau, disguised as a shop owner and lurked in Linkou Town. Luo Tianhua, played by Lin Jiangguo, clearly captured every plan of the Japanese in the dark.
