Discuss Dark Shadows

I've always loved it.

Classic t.v. at its best.

Robert "Bob" Cobert, the composer of Dark Shadows' quite famous music, has died. He was 95.

Here's Mr. Cobert's Variety obituary.

RIP.

Until Willie Loomis finds him. 🧛

Seriously, that theme from Dark Shadows is iconic. I knew the theme instantly long before I ever watched the show. Funny that he also did the theme from The Night Stalker, also memorable (although not as much).

I had the LP record album to the series music and made sure to get it on CD when it came out.

"The Old House" and I think "Darkness At Collinwood" are my favorite I think may have also used in the movie House Of Dark Shadows.

Bob also did the music for Dan Curtis other movies like "Burnt Offerings" with Oliver Reed, Karen Black & Bette Davis.

He definitely had the horror genre down to a somewhat "menacing" perfection.
