Although they were done away with in third season, this series is known for its cliffhangers.
My favorite is the end of "There Were Giants In The Earth" . They've left the crash site in the chariot to head south because the planet has a nutty orbit. They happen onto a cave and enter it hoping it will shelter them from a storm. They discover it contains ancient ruins. While exploring them, Will, Penny, Don and Judy become trapped in a hidden room. Naturally, a planet quake starts. John and Maureen locate them but cannot get the hidden door to open. Using his laser as a cutting torch, John begins cutting out one of the huge stone blocks that form the walls. It freeze-frames on Guy Williams' hand holding the laser prop silhouetted against some impressive pyrotechnics. My all time favorite. Let's hear some others.

I like the cliffhanger in Season 1 where we see the Jupiter 2 and Will from a high vantage point. Then the scene pulls in and we see an alien control panel and an ugly alien hand hovering over the controls. I think this was the cliffhanger for Invaders from the 5th Dimension.

Right you are, Angel. Those mouthless fifth dimension aliens almost creeped me out when I was a kid.

It was better when Netflix wasn't in this country. We sneaked through the back door of the American one. Now it's here, we can't get access to it.
