Sorry to hear that. I don't know much about Plex, but maybe you can ask them to support user groups. I think it's quite a useful feature and many people could benefit from it.

oula, given the speed of development of plex, if I ask now it will take thousands of users before they think of integrating it ^{^} (probably in 2190 haha) and in any case it's unmanageable to mix the logic, either we use the air date or we use another order, however these group dvd order, absolute… it is unusable, it is just useful as an indication to rename your video so that it matches with the air date :p

Not sure how difficult it is to ingetrate into Plex. Anyway, do you know Kodi? I think it's similar to Plex. It supports episode groups. Maybe you can give it a try...
