The investigation continues to track down the killers of the attack and Commissioner Scalise is discouraged. One of the killers is identified as a person who had been dead for two years. A lady who runs a bar is the victim of extortion.

Angela learns that Letizia, a woman who works with her at the clinic, has a violent husband who mistreats her and tries to convince the woman to file a complaint: initially Letizia does not accept her friend's help and cannot accept reality. Later, however, she changes her mind and decides to leave her husband.

The agents continue to follow Giulio Macri'. Giovanna contacts Nini, a colleague of hers from Palermo, who joins her in Rome and begins to collaborate with the police team.
