For Mission: Impossible fans: This morning I am watching Perry Mason on MeTV. The Case of the Bountiful Beauty. An uncredited Bob Johnson (the voice on the mission tapes) was very clearly "the voice on the intercom." Once again, heard but not seen!

SPOILER ALERT!!
The person to whom Bob Johnson was speaking via intercom was future Mission: Impossible bad-guy-actor John Van Dreelan. His character turned out to be the killer identified by Perry Mason on the witness stand.

Hello, Lima! John Van Dreelan appeared multiple times as a German on Twelve O'Clock High. He's got an interesting backstory. He's from the Netherlands, and because he was Jewish he was being held in the Netherlands in some detention center. He escaped by wearing a SS Officer's uniform he got a hold of, put it on, and walked out of the camp with no trouble! Is that cool or what?

Erle Stanly Gardner or Bruce Geller couldn't have written a more dramatic script than this real life adventure!
