Please don't give up on my Maria. Just had a busy week, but I will be back to my old posting self soon enough. I hope that's a good thing How are you doing, how was your weekend?
I'm doing pretty well. My leg's getting better in that I can walk pretty well with just a cane (and I don't even need the cane inside my house). But I'm still having a lot of pain. I'm taking Norco for that. I refuse to feel sorry for myself, because whenever I start to, I think about Venezuela.
I'm sure you've heard that Venezuela's economy has imploded, there is so little food or medical supplies that hundreds of thousands of people are migrating to other South American countries to survive. I read one story where this woman's father had a problem with his leg, but the doctors told her that the only thing they could do is amputate her father's leg WITHOUT anesthesia! Sorry for rambling, but my point is that I can't really complain, can I?
I like the way you try to see things from the bright side. Or rather that you go by the "it could be worse" scenario. But I am sorry for the pain you are going through. You are a real trooper and I really admire that. I hope I can be that way for when my issues happen.
Thank you for the kind words. BTW, did I mention that I moved back in with my former landlady? I had moved to a transitional housing facility on June 15th, and it was horrible and unsafe! But luckily my landlady got a lot better and I moved back here in early July.
@Jayhn1111 : Speaking of transitional housing, I read an article recently that said the County of Los Angeles is going to start building transitional housing for homeless families. The problem with this is that this particular facility will be built NEXT DOOR TO THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY JAIL! The mind boggles.

I just don't see the logic of this decision. I think that people who are trying so hard to improve their lives shouldn't have to worry about people who are being released from jail (The jail is a dangerous place, and I know because I worked there for 3 years).

@Jayhn1111: Did you get the post about the season six episode The Tram? I'd like your opinion on it.

No I don't believe you had mentioned that. I am happy to hear things worked out like that. That sounds terrible that it was unsafe

I was lucky that I could move back to my old house. Some of those people had no other place to go. Let's change the subject.
