Discuss Mission: Impossible

While I'm thinking about how to make a smartass part three recap of Invasion, I thought it would be a good idea to take a poll. My top 5 James Bond Movies:

  1. The Living Daylights
  2. You Only Live Twice
  3. Skyfall
  4. Tomorrow Never Dies
  5. From Russia With Love

Casino Royale

Quantum of Solace

@bratface: Mau I congratulate you on your good taste in putting Quantum Of Solace on you Top 5 List?

Sarcasm?

Actually, it is my least favorite Craig Bond film.

  1. From Russia with Love: Action packed with a real story and the series had not yet gone over the top. The fight between Bond and Robert Shaw is genuinely gripping.
  2. You Only Live Twice: If a series is going over the top anyway, go all the way. I can't help but love the finale where a battalion of ninjas assault an underground volcano lair.
  3. Live and Let Die: Bond goes to Harlem. Jarring to some, but the added twist certainly works for me. Makes me want to drink 7-Up and listen to Paul McCartney.
  4. For Your Eyes Only: After a series of escalating outlandish films, Bond comes back to Earth. The cliff scaling finale had some actual edge of my seat moments.
  5. Casino Royale: After some horrid Pierce Brosnan yuckfests, this was a breath of fresh air. Bond is back!

The two Timothy Dalton films get honorable mentions. I wish he lasted longer as Bond.

No, I am not being sarcastic, bratface. I happen to like Quantum Of Solace.

I liked Quantum of Solace, too. After the Pierce Brosnan fiascos, I had given up on the franchise. I didn't even bother to see Casino Royale when it came out. My wife dragged me out to see Quantum of Solace and I found it fast moving and fun. I was a franchise returnee.

I knew that I wasn't the only person who liked Quantum Of Solace! I KNEW IT!

What does anyone else think about Spectre? I thought it was okay but I came out of the movie thinking "I just saw the last James Bond movie."

The pre credit sequence was one of the best in the franchise. There was no way the rest of the movie could live up to it. And it didn't.

I still came away entertained.

That's kind of why I felt like it was the last movie. It seemed that Spectre was basically a "Daniel Craig's greatest hits while being James Bond."

After I saw Spectre I couldn't figure out how Q got to Switzerland so quickly from London since Moneypenny mentioned that Q was afraid of flying in Skyfall.
