Dushon Monique Brown, who played Chief Boden's assistant Connie, died on 23 March 2018 at the age of 49. https://chicago.suntimes.com/entertainment/dushon-monique-brown-starred-on-chicago-fire-has-died-report/ I was sort of "huh?" with her character at first, but I really came to like her and waited for her comments on the issues at hand. Without Connie, who's going to keep Firehouse 51 on the straight and narrow?!

It's so heartbreaking. She was so young. She was like the momma of the house. It's even stranger to see her on current episodes.

Looks like they chose not to have her character die.

The character Connie got a new job and she had to leave immediately without the chance to say goodbye.

Question: With all the social networking, couldn't Connie have gotten in touch with her colleagues and friends in another way, e.g. e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Instagram, or just a simple phone call?
