Kaito and Akiho go with their teacher, Mitsuhiko Nagafukada, to where the Robo-One tournament is being held, though they have no hotel to check into. As Kaito practises with the robot, he experiences a strange sensation for a brief moment. The tournament soon begins and Kaito manages to use his tactics to get through the preliminaries and into the finals. Before the final match, Akiho starts to grow concerned about Kaito, who hadn't gotten a lot of sleep prior to the tournament. The final match soon begins against the reigning champion, Mr. Pleiades, whose robot has some fierce tricks up its sleeve. While Kaito's robot is at a disadvantage against Subaru's, Kaito suddenly experiences an inverse of the ailment Akiho has, slowing down time for him, and makes a counterattack, knocking both of them out, though this technically results in Kaito's loss. Upon returning home, Kaito has a brief encounter with Kill Ballad's creator, Frau Koujirou.

Accompagnés par Mitsuhiko, Kaito et Akiho se rendent à Tokyo pour participer au Robo-One Au premier tour, ils se retrouvent opposés à Shizuya Maekawa et don Devil Stronger. Ce duo s’est brillamment distingué durant la précédente édition du tournoi en atteignant les phases finales…

いよいよROBO-ONE当日。操縦システムにキルバラを組み込んだことにより大会で勝負できるまでの完成度を得たタネガシマシンは、優勝決定戦へ進出。そこであき穂と海翔は大会二連覇中の謎の仮面ヒーロー「ミスター・プレアデス」と対面する。しかし、連日の徹夜がたたり体調が優れない海翔は、試合で圧倒的劣勢に立たされてしまう。

숙소도 잡지 못한 채 밤을 꼴딱 세운 후 로보원 본선에 출장한 카이와 아키. 하지만 익숙한 조작법의 도움도 있어서 최종 결승까지 무난하게 진출하는데...상대는 2회 우승에 빛나는 강자 미스터 플레이아데스. 하지만 카이에게는 왠지 낯익은 상대였다.

Kaito y Akiho van con su maestra, Mitsuhiko Nagafukada, a donde se lleva a cabo el torneo Robo-One, aunque no tienen un hotel para registrarse. Mientras Kaito practica con el robot, experimenta una sensación extraña por un breve momento. El torneo pronto comienza y Kaito logra usar sus tácticas para pasar por los preliminares y llegar a las finales. Antes del partido final, Akiho comienza a preocuparse por Kaito, que no había dormido mucho antes del torneo. El partido final pronto comienza contra el campeón reinante, el Sr. Pleiades, cuyo robot tiene algunos trucos feroces bajo la manga. Mientras que el robot de Kaito está en desventaja frente a Subaru, Kaito experimenta repentinamente una inversa de la dolencia que Akiho tiene, le ralentiza el tiempo y hace un contraataque, eliminándolos a ambos, aunque esto técnicamente resulte en la pérdida de Kaito. Al regresar a casa, Kaito tiene un breve encuentro con la creadora de Kill Ballad, Frau Koujirou.
