Well, the technology - or the depiction of technology, I suppose - is still crap, but they seem to be doing a little better story-wise.

Although I wonder if they'll explain why the ships would be intentionally damaged but not destroyed.

I mean, really, the degree of suspension-of-disbelief required to do anything but hate-watch this show, would be monumental.

Oh, and if they knew that FTL was being worked on when they left, why wouldn't they figure that out?
