Item: Season 8
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: I watched the series finale live and NBC aired it as a double episode with Part 1 / Part 2 designation in the credits. But unlike This Is Us S05E01, NBC added it to their website with the combined title of "The Last Day," without the Part 1 / Part 2 labels.
In case reports start to come in about how episode 10 is missing, I have archived the show's homepage showing the most recent episode is S08E09, and the episode page showing that the episode has a runtime of 46 minutes.

Should be two episodes in my opinion, in NBCs press pack the final has two production codes, not one

Yikes, really? I streamed them on Citytv, and the second episode had a previously on and everything.

2 production codes just mean that it was produced in 2 parts, not that it was broadcasted in 2 parts. We list the series based on their first broadcast.

Yep, just watched it again on the NBC website to add the episode cast and crew. It was a one long episode with no "previously on" or noticeable break between the two parts. The opening had Part 1 / Part 2 director and writer credits, with the end credits having a combined guest cast and a Part 1 / Part 2 editor.

But, the original broadcaster of this series is NBC. So, we should use the NBC data.

I would like to second this.
Also, Trakt, IMDb, and TVDB all have 2 episodes.

Wikipedia also lists episode 10 separately https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Brooklyn_Nine-Nine_episodes#Season_8_(2021)
Very disappointing that TMDB would exclude episode 10 when the entire rest of the internet acknowledges it.

I'm just another user here, registering the opinion that it should be splitted in 2 episodes.

They might've been produced as two episodes but they originally aired on NBC as a single double episode. These are the guidelines for double episodes:
Based on this, the episode should not be split.
TMDb, Wikipedia, IMDb, and TVDB all have different guidelines for double episodes. This is how we list double episodes on TMDb.
TMDb is not the only one; the NBC website also excludes episode 10. They list The Last Day as S08E09 and having a runtime of 46 minutes. There is no episode 10 on the NBC website.

But TMDb's api returned a runtime of 21mins.

There is a planned evolution to be able to set a runtime value episode by episode. You can vote for it here.

why is there a need to vote on anything for this if TMDb's opinion is that is a single episode? Then the api should return the 46minute runtime @raze464 stated the single ep is and would put this to bed, but it does not and requires a vote? He didn't reply to my question either after enough elapsed days..lol. I think it's ridiculous TMDb argue this and yet still return the runtime of a single episode..make it 46mins and then your TMDb position argument makes sense on the matter..at 21 minutes ya make zero sense and supports nada.

The vote is used to define the priority of the different technical evolutions. The evolutions with more votes will be done first.
