OK, I thought they were going to continue following the "Before the 90 Days" people, but apparently not.
So, I just tuned in tonight and I already know two of the people who are on this. I didn't remember Molly until she mentioned the show she used to have with her business partner. It was a very uncomfortable show to watch. I think I tuned in for about one, maybe two episodes before I stopped watching.
Then there's Nicole and Azan. This is the first I'm hearing of her daughter. I remember her from being on the show before. She's sweet, but I remember thinking at the time that she really needed to grow up (I know she was young then, so that was part of the problem) and she needed to understand more about his culture. Of course he's not going to be affectionate with her in public. That's not the way his culture is. And I don't think him being here is going to change that. The thing about her story though, is that I remember watching her two or three years ago at least, but she's saying it's only been a year since she met Azan??? Or is it that this stuff is taped a year or more in advance? And from what little I've seen, she still strikes me as someone who needs more maturity. OK, here's my problem with Nicole's family. The mother isn't very different from mine. "You need to grow up. You're not mature enough." But then she doesn't let Niclole grow up and learn what she needs to learn because she's always trying to control what Nicole does. So of course Nicole is going to be emotionally immature and insecure. Her mother is doing more harm than good. And she's so critical. So of course Nicole is ALWAYS going to go on the defensive with her. It's a disaster waiting to happen. And Morocco is not the place for Nicole, but her mother is going to drive her straight to living in that country just so she can get away from her mom. Which means she'll go essentially from one controlling situation to another. NOT GOOD.
The rest I'm waiting to see. Although the girl from Thailand (unless there's someone else I'm thinking of and just confusing her with the girl from Thailand) is reminding me of Anfisa. I hope I'm wrong in this. OK, yep, I'm confusing Annie with the other girl. Sorry about that. Still trying to learn everyone's names since tonight is the first night I've watched this season.
Yep, I'm concerned about David and Annie. David concerns me because he's living WAY beyond his means and just like Jorge, I don't think he's told Annie that he doesn't have any money. Strikes me as another Jorge and Anfisa waiting to happen.

Well just to throw everyone off...that aforementioned Vegas bachelorette trip I went on. The husband didn't want her going to a male stripper thing. So we went to a female one, haha. But it was like a topless cabaret show more than anything else. It wasn't pole-dancing/strip club like the one Luis went to. That was the most "risqué" thing we did though. It was all tame.
Poetist, are you being serious about strippers being a rite of passage from single to married? I just find all that so silly! It's not obligatory! There is usually some kind of party or celebration, and I think "woo stripperssss" is more of the raunchy stereotype that some of the more brave people do, but not all. But it's not something everyone does by a long shot...at least I don't think...??

Think again. It's definitely not everyone, but the strippers are taking over things. Have you ever heard of strippers going to baby showers? Well, I have, and it seems Americans can't get enough of their strippers.

Okay first, wife of Jason Biggs, though, lol. Not your normal, everyday couple. And after reading the article, I'm 100% she was joking about wanting "baby strippers" (which weren't at the actually party, either). She just made a joke about hating parties like that, but if there were strippers, they should be dressed as babies but "unfortunately my request for baby strippers didn't happen." The whole thing is satirical. Whoever writes the headline picked up on an obvious joke she made and made it into the headline.
Strippers going to baby showers is ridiculous. I think this is all exaggerated and movies certainly don't help.

I've never understood the obsession with strippers that is so prevalent. I went to a male dance review once and that was enough for me. I found it rather silly. Lots of people spend lots of time and money on them. A friend of mine has a son who was 50k in debt due to gambling and strippers. Men seem to expect strippers in certain situations. Whatever.

My bad. I didn't read the article, but Jason Bigg and his wife are out there. They freely admit to threesomes.
No, it's not. Strippers go to baby showers a lot.
These page states they go to baby showers as well as other special occasions. LOL.
Even Mel B had a stripper at her shower

It is sooo crazy! I went to one and women were dumping purses full of money on men. Plus, there were some that bought electronics for their favorite strippers.

I'm still just, eh. So you actually know people in real life who've had strippers at baby showers? Just because that site lists it under the male stripper it doesn't mean it occurs often. Although I guess it shows that the idea is 'out there' or at least, strippers are hoping to expand their market to baby showers in addition to every other possibility. It just sounds creepy and weird to me and not common. And Mel B, Ms. Scary Spice...another celebrity, not an average person haha. Anyway.............................I need to catch up on the project runway reunion ...wait wrong board...lol

Well, I hate to admit it. Yes! My cousins had strippers at two baby showers. They were among the first. I've seen it on TV -- twice. Now, I'm not endorsing this thing. It's not new. I'm just keeping you in the know.

I agree. My sister went, and it wasn't as if they told anyone a stripper was going to be there.
