I was expecting an over the top choreography and an excellent fighter (like JCVD in Kickboxer or Phillip Rhee in Best of the Best) but every fight scene, in fact every kick (I'm at ep 6) is bland and unimpressive.. and slow. Most of the time you can't even see who's kicking who because bad camera angels.
Best thing of the show is the guy from Banshee. DareDevil is so much better than this, especially corridor fights.
and don't let me even start with his love interest. That skinny little girl beating up 2 big body builders in the ring without superpowers ? give me a break.

yeah that was a rather stupid scene; in the realm of sci-fi superhero movies, maybe, even though she doesn't have any superpowers (apparently)
in the real world we have weight classes for a reason

Yeah, that is pretty much my main issue with the show.
The writing etc are important things in a TV Show. But in a TV Show with lots of action and fighting, the directing and actors both have to know how to do these... and in this show it just seems something was off regarding the fights.
I like your references with JCVC in Kickboxer, because it was also one example I thought of, I was thinking 'how were they able to make such cool fights in the past and such bland fights in some of the new films/TV Shows'.
The conflicts/resolutions and some of the structure/editing seemed a little flat sometimes too.
I read somewhere that the main actor said he was given the direction for an action/fight scene 15 min prior to filming (not that believe it's true, but something was definitely off). Someone else said that they were rushing this introductory show to get into the Defenders faster (again who knows really).

But Daredevil beating up 10 guys in a corridoor you find realistic? Give me a break. This is fantasy.

Daredevil is a strong man even without superpowers. He has enhanced senses, hell he can smell a punch if he has to that's how good he is. And yes the corridor fight is one of the best choreographed fights ever.
And you're comparing it to the ring fight of this little skinny girl? Are you drunk?

He has enhanced senses, so he can beat up 10 men. Yeah really.
What is the PUnisher's superpower again?

Again he's also a strong tall guy, ex marine/army whatever. If he punches you, you're lying on the ground. Period. If little skinny girl punches you, you just laugh. Get it ?
Also, didn't Punisher had a knife ?

Put the best, most heavyweight UFC fighter in the word in a cage fight against ten men. What do you think will happen?

If they attack one by one ? I'd say he has a chance.

Why on earth would they attack one by one? Even then, he would drop from exhaustion after fighting two men in a row.

So, what are you saying, you think that little girl has chance against those two body builders in real life ?

spoiler Well The Hand are the big scary boogeymen of these series, so her being one of them probably gives her an edge

She is ? I'm at ep 6, must have missed that.
Still, without superpowers of any sort, the cage fights are totally unrealistic. She would have not the slightest chance against those guys.

I agree but other action films or martial arts films have addressed such disparity in height & strength in various ways, and they did not do it here.
The problem is they present her as a woman with no super powers and yet she defeats these ring guys easily. Even if she had secret "special" training, they did not use this reveal or mystery, in those instances. You're just supposed to accept some non-powered girl can defeat those 2 trained ring men.
Perhaps they should've focused on her fighting style, perhaps her exceptional speed and know how on body points helped her defeat them- but they did none of that.
There was a kung fu film that I saw before but cannot remember the title. He had an opponent that was too strong and too powerful to defeat and funnily enough, he had to learn a woman's kung fu to defeat the enemy. He learned the woman's kung fu because it was designed to beat stronger and more powerful opponents, and it was just the perfect one he needed to defeat is arch nemesis. if anyone here remembers the film, please let me know, I want to rewatch it actually.
