Is a petulant child. He really is terrible. He was okay on GoT because his terrible acting was hidden amongst a gigantic cast. It's almost unbearable to watch him whine the whole time. He's like Hayden Christensen in Episode II.
I also think the guy playing Ward is up and down. I think everyone else is pretty good though. I wonder what Rosario Dawson thinks when she's being forced into a scene with this guy.

Totally agree that Jones was terrible. But Ward was the only character with any depth or complexity. Hogarth was OK too. Sadly everyone else was rotten. They even made Rosario's character suck. sigh

A good comparison.

As I said, i think Ward was okay. He got better as the season went along. I guess I just didn't like the constant brooding, but that was in character obviously.
I liked the actresses who played Colleen & Joy.
I agree that Dawson phoned it in. Her lines were terrible.
The script literally tried to spoon feed the audience everything. The whole thing was a recap of what was going on like we couldn't keep up. I don't know how this was allowed to be made.
Oh and Bakuto sucked too.
And the fight choreography was ridiculously sloppy. So many complaints!

And he really should get a personal trainer before filming The Defenders. He is a got looking guy... but his body didn't match the characters backstory of 15 years of hard training in a monastery - not at all ;)

I was thinking the same thing while watching this. His waist size looked smaller than the other women's on this show lol.

I feel he was horribly miscast. Which is weird because the Netflix series is usually perfect with casting.

i agree with most of this. i think the actress playing joy did the best she could, but her characterisation was all over the place. tom pelphrey (a name i did not know before this show) was excellent.
finn jones was just horrible. zero charisma, and wooden. my favourite example of this was when he witnessed howard chop his own finger off. his face was completely emotionless. it was ridiculous, and any tension generated from what was happening evaporated. whoever directed that scene should be ashamed. jones really got found out in episode 8 when the drunken master showed up. they should have cast that guy as rand imo.
