Not liking season 2 as much as S1. Are there new writers or directors? I'm on S2E4. Not sure exactly what it is, just "feels" different.
They're undergoing a transition, from a scenario where the occupation is a long-term thing that's unpalatable but possible to endure, to one where their complacency has been shattered and they realize humanity's time is running out. The routine of Season 1 has been broken. This was the plan from the beginning. Although they did originally expect Carl Weathers to be back this season, which I'm sure forced some script changes. I won't spoil anything for you if you're still on Ep. 4 but the story's pace picks up dramatically over the next three episodes. Ep. 7 is a real turning point. The shit is finally starting to hit the fan, and the fight for Earth is on! So keep watching.
