Discuss The Expanse

I don't know if that's how Cara Gee sounds in real life but I find her monotonic way of speaking perfectly suits her character's seeming apathy. I also find it hot as hell! Drummer is Johnson's sec chief on Tycho for anyone that doesn't know.

cant pin down what nationality she is trying to emulate but its 'different & refreshing' Most of the Belters come off sounding "South Africana "

What do you guys think?

I didn't pay that much attention to her voice...I was too busy NOT trusting her. I know she appears loyal and she is Fred Johnson's right-hand person; but something about her just doesn't sit right with me.

Anyway...

Went back and listened to her voice...couldn't narrow down her accent either. Sounds too much like a "speech-coach-accent" trying to hide a natural accent. Also, didn't find it anything special.

Everything about her is pretty much a turn on. Even seems like her grill might be a little messed up which makes the heat even worse...lol

Drummer is played by Cara Gee, born in Calgary. Here's a short video of her doing an interview with CBC for another show. She sounds nothing like her Drummer character so her accent for The Expanse must be pretty much an affectation. I'm guessing it's just her take on the belter accent.
