Anna could give a hypnotist pointers! Let’s be thankful she has no hidden agenda, and is on the side of right—because she sure knows how to get inside a person’s head. She "worked" Clarissa/Claire/Melba like she owned her! And when it came to persuading Monica to help with the broadcast, Anna accomplished with words what Amos was prepared to accomplish with "pistol-whipping".
Even so, Amos is perfect as is. And considering the many dangers they face, and how all the others crew members so often suffer from the push-and-pull of emotions and self-doubt, they needs someone like him with his take-no-prisoners attitude.
Yes, I was a little put-out when he told Alex that Bobbie being his friend wouldn’t stop him from killing her. But, then I remembered that at one time or another (because that’s what the situations seemed to call for) he was going to kill Holden, Miller and Alex.
Amos sees things in black and white—not shades. Such a person can always make the hard choices. Also, Amos is one of the good guys—good in the sense that he is not about doing deliberate evil for its own sake, or for personal gain.
Can’t let that religious Svengali Anna (as wonderful as she is) make Amos start second-guessing himself.
If she really wants to put her considerable skills to work where they can do a lot of good, she needs to spend some quality time with Ashford!
