Ангел на смъртта №413 - новак, чието задължение е да предупреди хората за предстоящата смърт и изпрати душите им в отвъдното. Бил е научен, че е хората трябва да бъдат щастливи от мисълта за смъртта. Опитвайки се някак си да подобри душевното състояние на умиращите, Шинигами-кун нарушава правилата и изпълнява последните им желания. Което не се харесва на началството.

编号为413的死神君（大野智 饰）入行前相信，死神的工作是可以让逝者感受到幸福的一件工作。可是入行后才发现，他日常主要负责在某人去世前现身，并通知对方死亡的时刻，届时将灵魂带走，剪断与人世的羁绊后将灵魂送入另一个世界。死神君发现，许多人在死前的那一刻都留有诸多的遗憾，而作为死神的他无能为力，他为此内心倍感低落。也许为了减少遗憾，死神君经常会帮助将死之人完成夙愿，甚至会违反规定让灵魂看到死后的场景。他因此遭到严厉的监死官（桐谷美玲 饰）的训斥。某天死神君不小心弄丢了死亡笔记，由此造成了不小的混乱，甚至还让恶魔（菅田将晖 饰）窜入人间。倒霉的死神君不得不一次次穿梭阴阳两界，满足人们的心愿，解决所有突如其来的麻烦……

Shinigami-kun, alias grim reaper #413, is a rookie who pronounces the death of those scheduled to die and brings souls to the nether world. He would appear with the signature phrase “Congratulations! I’m here to call on you” although it is hard to say how this can be a happy occasion, and watch over the dying. To a grim reaper, persuading people attempting to commit suicide and preventing unforeseen deaths is also an important task. But because #413 is new to this grim reaper work, he has a tendency to lean towards humans in his judgments, break the rules of the nether world and get reprimanded by his superior.

Shinigami-kun, alias la Faucheuse #413, est une recrue qui prononce la mort de ceux qui doivent mourir et amène des âmes dans le monde souterrain. "Félicitations ! Je suis ici pour faire appel à vous" annonce-t'il bien qu'il soit difficile de dire à quel point cela peut être une occasion heureuse. Pour un faucheur sinistre, persuader les gens qui tentent de se suicider de ne pas le faire et prévenir les décès imprévus est également une tâche importante. Mais parce que le No. 413 est nouveau dans cette mission, il a tendance à se prendre partie pour les humains dans ses jugements, à enfreindre les règles du monde inférieur et à se faire réprimander par son supérieur.

『死神くん』（しにがみくん）のタイトルでテレビドラマ化。2014年4月18日より毎週金曜日23:15 - 24:15に、テレビ朝日系列の「金曜ナイトドラマ」枠で放送。主演は嵐の大野智。大野は『歌のおにいさん』（2009年1月期）以来5年ぶりの金曜ナイトドラマの主演作となる。キャッチコピーは「おめでとうございます! お迎えにあがりました。」。

Shinigami-kun, número #413, é um novato que pronuncia a morte daqueles programados para morrer e leva as almas para o outro mundo. Ele sempre está com uma caderneta onde estão escritos os nomes e horários de quem está destinado a morrer. Assim, ele parte para o mundo humano para levar essas pessoas ao outro mundo. Mas, por ele ser novo, ele tem uma tendência a inclinar-se para os seres humanos em seus julgamentos, quebrando as regras do outro mundo e sendo repreendido pelo seu superior.
