Discuss Star Trek: The Next Generation

While some boards have seen a lot of old IMDB'ers arrive, sadly, it's apparent the TNG board is not in that category. No real discussion. Not even CJ seems to be here.

Alas, it was good while it lasted.

DAMN YOU IMDB!!

You just have to spread word of mouth. I don't like that moviechat site as it looks cheap. I just hope more original IMDb posters come over to this site.

I wonder what sites the others went to? I checked a few others, but there wasn't much going on at those either.

Let's just start discussing how awesome the scene was where Picard tells his brother how powerless he was to stop the Borg. That should suck folks in.

Damn you Imdb indeed. Instead of improving the boards they shut them down. Dumb move !

I think that if the TNG board came up with more different lists, detailed "what was your favorite episode, etc. and as said before, word of mouth, more people will discover it. I would like to post here more, that is, if you guys would have me.

The more, the merrier relaxed

Of course everyone is welcome! It's just that not too many people are on this board when compared to IMDb, which had years to build their following. Maybe this place will get there eventually, but who knows? Just post as much as you can so people don't just see there's not much activity and don't bother to come back.

Well let's try and get this board alive again we can't let the 30th anniversary go by quietly why not try something that worked on the old IMDB board .Let say maybe it's time to re-introduce The Captain's Log ,I already have a title "The Captain's Log part IV Insurrection" laughing

I'm disappointed by the lack of activity here as well. This is a well designed site and still has great potential but it doesn't mean anything if people aren't posting here. Even the Game of Thrones board here is barely active. I don't know what else can be done to get people here.

If anyone is interested, check out http://www.jammersreviews.com where you can discuss individual episodes of Star Trek, the films and other shows like Battlestar Galactica. Most of the posts are from several years ago but people still post there and there some good discussions.

I've come up with a new slogan for the TNG board: Make The TMDb Star Trek: The Next Generation Board Great Again!

@Maria Kelly: Mêh sounds too much like a Trump slogan and I figured that most Americans by now are left with a bad aftertaste in their mouths after voting for that Thanksgiving turkey.

@Nexus71 :Hadn't thought about that. Although it does give me another idea. We tell the Washington White House Corospondents Assoc. that Sean Spicer will now be the moderator for this particular thread and then watch as the board gets hot, hot, hot!

@Maria Kelly: smile

@Maria Kelly : Would that be a wise thing to do? He has been known to be lacking in the factual department and taking the truth on a proverbial ride. And Trek fans (at least most of them) are sticklers for the factual and the truth so that's a marriage doomed from the start. smile

@Nexus71 sunglasses That is a sound point of view. However, it might bring this board a lot of much needed attention.
