How do you all like the "fluf fun" shows on trek shows. These are usually are on the holodeck, like Picard as Robin Hood or a non holodeck like when the Ferengi kidnapped the Troy women. This includes some Quark shows on DS9 and some Doctor shows on Voyager.

Picard as Robin Hood was not an holodeck episode it was Q who did that.

Thank you for pointing out my error. What about the point of the post?

Well I am not a fan of holodeck episodes(they would often be used as a means to go back in earth's history which is not the reason why I am watching a SF-show),nor am I fan of Quark and in all honesty I have never got past season 3 of VOY and some other episodes and those doctor and 7 of 9 episodes reminded me an awful lot about the storylines of both Spock and Data(but with a D-cup
).

My favorite "fun holodeck" episode was the DS9 episode Our Man Bashir. Take a wild guess which fictional spy Bashir played? I loved that episode, it was great!
However, maybe because the episode aired right before Tomorrow Never Dies was released, Michael Wilson and Barbara Brocolli told Rick Berman that it was a good episode, but don't do another one like that again. Did you ever see this episode and if you did, what was your opinion of it?

Haven't seen the episode but I heard it was a spoof of Bond with the title being an homage to the Carol Reed spy-comedy called Our Man In Havana featuring Alec Guinness and Noël Coward

@Maria Kelly ; And on the point of Bond how can one take a franchise seriously when the producer is called after a vegatable ?

@Nexus71 : That's a very sound point of view, but how many vegetables have Academy Awards?

Not vegetables per sé but actors playing human vegetables have.

I thought Q Pid was a pretty good "fun" episode. Who can forget Worf's classic line "Captain, I must protest! I am NOT a merry man!" I also thought A Fistful Of Datas was okay as a "fun" episode as well with Data as all those holodeck characters and the real Data taking on a cowboy persona with accent. "Don chew werry c'mander. We'll have this problem fixed in a jiffy."

@revengine: I haven't seen that episode in a very long time. When it comes to "Fun" Star Trek episodes, my all time favorite is the TOS episode "A Piece Of The Action."

@Maria Kelly: Yeah Kirk trying to drive a car and Spock's reactions is comedy gold ENT episode Carpenter Street pays homage to that part in that episode.
