I finally figured out who Madchen Amick is in this episode (I think). She appears as a young Anya (who is Salia's protector). We don't see Salia's human form change in this episode but we see a young (Amick) and old (Paddi Edwards) form of Anya. Why, I don't know. Maybe they couldn't figure another use for Amick.

I remember when I first saw the episode thinking if I were Wesley and I saw the Amick character before Salia, I'd be chasing her instead.
