Season 1-4 should be split into separate season, or at least Season 1-2 being a single season and then Season 3 and 4 after. I know this has been asked a lot but I really am confused as to why BSD is getting separate treatment than almost every other anime.
I've checked the TV Bible and it says that when "episodes numbers are continuous, all episodes are added to the same season" however they never to do that to other animes, like Attack on Titan, Snow White with the Red Hair, etc.
I understand episodes in the same cour being in the same season, like Spy x Family, which is why I think it's fine if Season 1 & 2 are in the same season, but Season 3 came out 2-3 years after the previous one, same with Season 4 (like 2 years after) so they are not in the same cour.
Practically every other site separates them all so I don't know why TMDB is trying to be different.
Overall, I am just confused about this all so if someone can give me satisfactory explanation for it then it'll be fine but I am really not getting it.

That doesn't answer my question, like I said if the "continuous episodes in one season" is a rule, why aren't AOT and other animes also in one season if they also have continuous episodes, not saying they should be but just wondering why BSD is like that.
It's also just annoying cause as I said again, Season 3 came out around 3 years after S2 and S4 came out 2 years after S3, it just doesn't make sense for them to be in one season.

Some are listed on our anime merge lists to have their seasons merge at a later date, not yet defined, by the administrator.
On some other, the error may not have been seen until now. We dont have the time to monitor all the shows in the database and can only check the shows that are reported to us or to which we contribute.
Feel free to file a content report on them if you see some anime shows where the seasons should be merged.

These stupid rules messing up the database. This Anime ( season 1) was released back in 2016. The show has had several season since then. But because of bright minded young leader they have decided to change they way how they index anime seasons. Yes we know it's one continuous story but, this anime has more than 1 season. Shows that to so called bright spark isn't that bright after all. The office Japanese website for the show even state that their are more than one season. But TMBD is going coco. http://bungo-stray-dogs.jp/story/
