What are the chances of being renewed again for a third season?
Ratings are low but no lower than last year, and of course it got renewed then.
The show is highly praised by critics for willingness to go places most shows don't -- genuine character development (even through the "reboots") , philosophical discussion via Chidi, a particularly clever cliffhanger in season 1
Costs must be extremely low with only 4 sets being reused ( Eleanor's house, Michael's office, the shopping area ( which I think is from an existing theme park), and the Middle Place. Few actors outside the original 6 + Vicki. Very little CGI except for Janet, and most of that is played for laughs and needn't be elaborate. Seasons are half-size.

Hopefully they give it a chance to grow. Love this show. Something tells me religious people may not be tuning in though. That could hurt the chances for high ratings.

I'm a church librarian, and this is my favorite show. Some religious believers whine a lot, but normal ones have a sense of humor. Ever hear of the Screwtape Letters? ( Actually, it would be fun to have Screwtape make an appearance on GOOD PLACE)

I think there's a good chance that it'll get renewed. People are watching shows differently these days, so hopefully they count ratings from streaming services like Hulu.

COMCAST listed it as renewed, but on the other hand it was listing shows that are definitely dead, so that's probably not reliable.

TV Guide, Variety, and several other outlets have confirmed Season 3.
Wonder if there will be another big twist for the Season 2 finale?

I really hope this show comes back - while the second season episodes are not quite as inventive and delightful as the first, I admire the audacity and originality of this show, one of the very few comedies I have been hooked on in recent years.

It's on Netflix, which is how I became a fan. I think the fan base will grow because of it, just like with shameless.
