I've always wondered why more movies aren't _set _in Toronto. I mean, we all know how well Toronto does when it dresses up and pretends to be New York City or Chicago...but how can movies be set in New Orleans or Seattle or Memphis or any other smaller town, yet Toronto can't be the setting?
Well, we saw Flashpoint do very well. Rookie Blue too. And then here comes Private Eyes.
Toronto, as a setting, is on the rise. And it's about time.
It is a nice town to film in. I never watched Flashpoint. Rookie Blue was okay but the main girl character (I forget her name) made it almost unwatchable for me. I loved the Listener as well (not sure if that was filmed in Toronto.
I'm also looking forward to 19-2 returning (although I think that's filmed in Montreal).
