Discuss Stranger Things

Item: Stranger Things

Language: zh-CN

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: Why is the Chinese name for Stranger Things locked as empty? This show has been officially released in Chinese-speaking regions like Taiwan and Hong Kong, and its official Chinese name is "怪奇物语." It's been years, and it still can't be edited. Are the admins crazy?

The title used in Taiwan should be listed in the zh-TW translation. The title used in Hong-Kong should be listed in the zh-HK translation.

The zh-CN translation should only be used for a title used for an official release in continental China.

All this is explained here (in the Chinese titles part).

Note : I have hide your other identical report.

so do you think the "zh-cn" name for Stranger Things should be locked as empty just because it wasn't released in mainland China? There are thousands of foreign TV shows that haven't been released in mainland China, but they still have Chinese names for the zh-cn locale. Just to give an example, Squid Game has a zh-cn name. So why is Stranger Things the only one that strictly follows the logic you mentioned? What’s the reason behind this?
