...pretty little liars.

maybe i'm wrong, maybe 13 reasons why turns out a decent show. but it sure resembles pretty little liars theme (maybe less girly).

Hardly improved. PLL is crazy, but entertaining. 13 reasons looks more realistic, but boring as hell.

I got so bored after 4 episodes, I just went straight to ep. 13 to find out what happened. Guess what - I missed nothing.

Teenage suicides is an awful thing, bullying is awful. But oh my God, it was so slow!!! I get it, terrible things happened to Hannah, and it all started with little things.

But I never got to the terrible things, because the little things were so bloody slow and so bloody boring.

/SPOILER/ and no, I don't think that bullying led to Hannah being raped. It was Bryce's fault, and only his. The fact that those girls didn't want to be her friends or that those boys stared at her ass had nothing to do with it. These guys were mean teenagers, that guy was a serial rapist. Totally different stories.

I am making a good call in not even bothering watching this. Sounds terribly boring.

I'm a few episodes in, and so far I'm enjoying it. I could tell right away this show wouldn't be for the typical Netflix drama crowd. It's definitely very teeny and melodramatic. Personally though that doesn't really bother me. Sometimes it's fun to escape to that kind of world. I will say though that's it grittier and far less cutesy than Pretty Little Liars.

Something I want to point out about it that is really good is the way they tell the story. It may just be a teen drama, but you have to constantly be paying attention to follow the story. They are constantly cutting back and forth from the present and past. If you zone out for a second you may miss something important. This show and This is Us gets big points for creative storytelling.

I would suggest watching it for yourself before you make any judgements. I actually really enjoyed it. Sure, it's melodramatic, but what isn't anymore these days?

I like it, thought it was quite well done and did not find it boring at all. I like a story that evolves slowly as long as its done well.

changed my mind. i was bored and started watching it, ended up watching 11 episodes in 3 days (and I don't even have time for this). It's nothing like PLL, it's not even appropriate for teenagers, I think.

Seriously, I think you have a point here.
