He did basically bully Hannah because she didn't want to look at him romanticly. Zach felt Hannah was entitled to like him after he sat with her after she was groped. He caused Hannah more emotional pain.
WTF are you talking about? Just because he came up to her the next day and said he liked her and made one stupid comment about her having the best ass, that deserves being screamed at in front of everyone?
And what exactly did he do that was so bad as retribution?
I don't think he deserved a tape. Not on the same level as any of the other douche bags.
Hey, I stepped on gum today! My sneaker is now completely ruined! Piece of gum, you just made the list!
Because she was overly dramatic about everything that happened to her (Not counting the actual assaults by Bryce and Marcus). Then she expects socially awkward Clay to understand and cater to her emotional drama.
PS- Great show...definitely does capture the fact that teenagers are the worst!

I think Hannah definitely was a bit more sensitive than the average person. However, I think one of the themes of the series was the importance of being nicer and more respectful to others. Hannah may have been sensitive, but did Justin/Bryce really need to send that picture of her around the school? Did Zach need to bully her because she rejected him romantically? Did Courtney need to make others believe she was a lesbian just to cover up her own sexuality? The answer to all of this is no. There was really no need for any of that.

LOL that made me laugh. For the first seven episodes, I definitely felt this way too. Shit got way more serious near the end, but I didn't think it was fair to be guilt tripping/punishing all those other students in the beginning. They did semi-crappy things but not awful. I do like the idea that we should be nicer to people in general, because you never know what could be slowly adding up in chipping away at someone's soul etc.
I think that Hannah was expecting more from Zach. He was the one that came back after Marcus behaved like a jerk at the diner. She thought he was really sweet. Keep in mind that Zach knew everything that had happened to Hannah up until that point. He was the only one of the guys who showed some compassion. Then suddenly he just flipped because he didn't get his way so he decided to take away the one thing she needed the most at that moment, just that little bit of light in the darkness.
He didn't bully her, no, but he hurt her emotionally on purpose and that was pretty evil.

He didn't just flip because he didn't get his way. He got screamed at in front of his entire lunch period by a lunatic for showing an interest in her. And then he took some notes. Big deal. I sympathize far more with Zack than Hannah on that tape.
