I was referring to the promo being offered by CBS. As far as I know, the whole first episode isn't available yet, anywhere. Premiere air date - on regular broadcast CBS for the first episode, after that it moves online - is Sunday the 24th.

Knixon, I meant did you watch the YouTube video that explains about the changes in the Klingon's appearance?
No, like I wrote before, I don't care what their excuses are. The whole retcon thing they did with Enterprise was dumb too. It always was just a budget/makeup thing. In fact, for the DS9 "Tribbles" episode they shouldn't have commented on it at all, and maybe even had Worf appear like the other Klingons when he was on the K7 station, with nobody else commenting about it either. THAT would have been a much better fit with reality. (Or they could have changed the appearance of the Klingons in the TOS footage but that probably would have been too difficult/expensive.)
This is ridiculous, and I don't care for the reasons behind it either. All it says to me is that Paramount doesn't care about this series at all anymore. I'm only watching the first episode to see if they're going back to Roddenberry's vision or if this follows the alternative universe crap and also because Jason Isaacs is in it (but if this follows the alternative crap, not even he can keep me watching).
And I see Eugene Roddenberry is one of the executive producers. Is this Roddenberry's son or just a coincidence in name?
Oh, and with the Klingons "redesigned" again, as far as I'm concerned, they're not Klingons.
The retcon/redesign stuff almost always leaves me cold. Especially when it contradicts other explanations. H&I channel showed the "E2" (E Squared, aka Enterprise Squared or doubled) episode again tonight, and I remember that they mentioned interacting with "Icarans" and exchanging technology. As I recall, according to TNG, the Icarans had been extinct for hundreds or thousands of years then, so there's no way they could have existed during the Enterprise series' time.

OK, thanks. That's what I thought, but couldn't remember offhand. As that is the case, he should be ashamed of himself for not trying to see that this is made better. You know, as an homage to his father. Roddenberry had a vision. A good one, and this is just not living up to it.
Maybe this Roddenberry lacks the talent and/or luck to pick people to make his show better than he would have made it on his own.
Perhaps. Wasn't he involved with that other show from the late 90s? That one that was created after Roddenberry's death from a manuscript (unfinished) that was "found?" I can't remember the name of the show. I just remember a lot of purple coloring (sorry, I don't know why I find that bit important, lol). Anyway, that felt more Trek-like in a way than this does and that had nothing to do with the Trek universe!
Do you mean Earth: Final Conflict? According to imdb he was only involved with 2 episodes of that. That show actually had some good points, although it suffered when Boone (character) disappeared for several seasons.

Here's a video explaining the redesign. I haven't watched all of it yet, so I'm not sure if it tells you what you want to know?

If those are supposed to be Klingons with their appearance changed AGAIN, whatever excuse anyone has for it doesn't matter to me.

Did you watch it? I personally do not care because I'm not watching the show anyway.

Earth: Final Conflict, THANK YOU!!! I kept wanting to call it First Contact, lol, and I knew that was wrong.
I was actually enjoying that show and I was sad when it was cancelled.
I just vaguely remembered that he had something to do with that show.

It's been quite a while since I saw it, but didn't it actually conclude, not just stop/cancelled?
