Discuss The Mist

Did anyone else notice, twice in the pilot episode, they bleeped out the F word? What's that all about? Was this original created for a premium pay channel or something?

It's the new thing shows are doing. It's funny on the Goldberg's but not in serious drama shows. I don't see the point

I suppose people pepper their speech with obscenities to try to add emphasis. I find such speech useful in identifying knuckle-draggers and nitwits.

They're looking ahead for when it gets released on Blu-ray. It can be uncensored then.

I never thought of that lol makes perfect sense tho!! Thank you 😊

I find it funny that other small networks are pushing out swear words left and right, while the supposed man network is holding back.

Great point!!! It's a matter of time they all start airing shows without censoring

what a fool you are. Do you think its realistic for someone not to swear when a giant monster appears? Shakespeare had a habit of using coarse language i suppose as ignorant as you considers him a nitwit

First as for [@cursethedarkness]'s post, I don't know where or what kind of world you reside, but curses are f'king everywhere in everybody's speech in all of the US and I'm sure it's the same all over. People curse, it's instinctual sometimes, I accidently drop F bombs all the time around my 75yo mom, it happens. The word sh!t has been given wide permissions, now you hear it just about everywhere from almost all cable channels from primetime and beyond. Every day at work or around any normal humans you'll hear tons of curses , we're adults those words denote a certain extra meaning to things and if you don't get that you must live in a bubble or something idk.

@Xsploit totally agree, when someone gets hurt, say when I get hurt and I'm in extraordinary pain you'll hear: F'K! F'K! F'K! F'K! F'k! GDit! SOB! MTHF'er ect ect. Giant Monster? It's Ohhh Sh!t! Ohh F'k! Holy Sht! WTF is that f'kin thing!?! Let's get the f'k outta here or find a way to kill that Muthafka!! ect. That's the normal vocabulary of most people. Sure you'll find those super conservative folks that think that a word can do actual harm and we all know that's BS

I swear this show belongs on the WB network because it's purely derivative crapola teen drama , angst and family related drama. It's like forget all that BS and give me mist monsters eating people in horrible ways, or is that too violent for PG which this show might just qualify as since it's so watered down. I would have NEVER guessed that The Mist series would go down in this lamish fashion, the people writing it need to be stoned- with rocks people, weed can't kill you or I never would have survived my teenage years.
