Somewhat new here but according to https://www.themoviedb.org/bible/movie/59f3b16d9251414f20000009#59f73d3c9251416e71000013 you are supposed to enter first airing per country. In US that's HBO Max Dec 5.

Episode edit page does not even have per country airing input but maybe it's hidden because edits are blocked?

This rule only apply to movies.

For TV episodes, we only list the original air date on the origin network. The origin network here is BBC One.

So I investigated and this is not true.

It's a BBC One and HBO coproduction. Given HBO already announced schedule IMHO we should use it.

The original broadcaster of the series was BBC One. So, all the dates used should be from BBC One.

We only change the origin network if the previous one doesn't anymore broadcast the series. BBC One hasn't announce that it will not broadcast the new season. Consequently, it remains the origin network.

That's seriously unhelpful policy. This way a show that's being released to vast majority of viewers (US + "online") has no official release date according to TMDB. IMHO in such cases whoever is faster should win.

Here are three different online articles from major news sources, which confirm that the show will be released Dec 5 in the US on HBO, but has no BBC release date yet. The first one, Radio Times, is even a strictly British media source.

The fact that HBO announced the date first doesn't mean that they gonna be the first to broadcast. There's a 99% probability that BBC, same as in the previous seasons, will be airing the show on Sundays, one day (or even one week) before HBO. My bet would be on December 4th, somewhere around 20:00-20:30.

I'm with Marvis & Lily on this one. The first 3 episodes have aired, all earlier dates in US than UK. If I was counting on TMDB I would not be aware the season had started yet. It is much more helpful to list the earlier date. I've been on the other side of this (other shows that are released earlier in other countries so I see them in TMDB before they are available to me). I would much prefer to hear about a show I care about before I can watch it, than after. Please update the airdates of this season to HBO's schedule since they are airing it first.

Yes I understand your criteria and am suggesting it could be changed or an exception made for what I imagine is a fairly unique situation.

Series 3 will be released at once on BBC iPlayer on December 18th. But I suppose you prefer linear broadcast dates.
