Yes, that was clearly what happened in the scene with Richard on the phone.

And yes, we are to believe that Patrick has feelings for Maddie.

But what did it mean? They don't appear to have altered the plan or is she just ready for Max to double-cross her? Maybe that is the future of the show? The four musketeers go off into the sunset to run more cons with Patrick chasing them while Max and the doctor are dead. I guess Lenny Cohen could be chasing them too because everyone loves Uma Thurman. If they leave the U.S., then Patrick will have to cooperate with his foreign counterparts which could add new characters as well as new marks.

Thanks Glovebone. I know it seemed obvious, but this show has so many twists, sometimes I wonder..haha..I still think Sally is alive, but what do I know

I guess Maddie realized she cant even trust Max and that Sally may be dead.. I still also think her and Ezra are the end game.

I hope the season finale doesn't leave everything unresolved.

It meant she now knows (or believes) that Max gave up their partner in crime, so he is now an enemy to her. What happens with that, we will find out in the final episode. The doctor will not die. Max probably will though.

If I had to guess, and what makes the most sense based on what we know about the integrity and bond (and common enemy) of the 3 Musketeers, the end game, for Ezra at least, is most definitely not to end up with Maddie, but for the 3 Musketeers to double cross her and for them all to get their money back. No chance Ezra just snipes out those 2. No way.

Maddie now sees Max as a means to an end. She no longer trusts him, but needs him for this last scheme. I wouldnt put it past Maddie (or hold it againt her) to double cross Max.
