havent seen it myself but curious too. I'm kinda getting tired of the pre superman shows. Watched 10 seasons of smallvill for 3 minutes of actual superman.

Quite disappointing, a bit too cliché for my taste.

Its official, Krypton is a damn GOOD show. That pilot episode really laid it on thick. And wasn't corny or cheesy, loved seeing my favorite tv actors and actresses as guest roles. The British accents weren't offputting, And the reveal of Brainiac at the end....Yes PLEASE!!! I am happy they made the city of Kandor so alien looking. I am super impressed and can't wait to dive into this show for the long haul! The stories they could tell.....wow. I give it a 7/10

I loved it! I'm so looking forward to the rest of the season. I think this is going to be great. Two great moments I loved:
A Detroit Tigers hat on Krypton. Before I knew who that was, I was completely dumbfounded. It's funny that Seg thinks he comes from Planet Detroit. Obviously someone on the staff is a Tigers fan. If it were me, he's be wearing a Hartford Whalers hat.
Hearing the John Williams Superman theme...not once, but twice! Bring it!

I'm on board with the new program. I've been waiting for something like this for years.

So far we are enjoying it. Its a bit grittier than "Golden Age" Krypton was depicted in the comics. But we're okay with that. We don't like gritty just to be gritty, like many shows seem to want to do these days. But Golden Age was often at the opposite end of the spectrum, being excessively clean and sleek.
We'r looking forward to more.

By estimation there have been 3 "pre superman" shows, Superboy, Smallville and Krypton. Superboy was in 1988, Smallvilee was 2001 to 2011 and now Krypton. So 3 shows over 30 years.
Now, Superboy is pretty much canon until the DC reboot 20 years ago. Smallville was always supposed to be about Clark Kent before he became Superman. .(So why you expected to see Superman I don't know) and now Krypton.
The first two are from similar "periods", Clark Kent/Kal-el before he became Superman.
Krypton is 200 years before Superman.
So I'm not sure why you are "tired" of them. Its not like there have been a plethora of them. And they are very different.
But I'm glad you're curious. That's what's important. If you don't like it, that's fine. Your taste is yours and cannot be argued with. For anything, (not just this show) you should give things a chance. Then decide.

I'm not going to lie. Whenever the SyFy channel does a show, I'm always a little nervous they'll mess it up. So, I have my fingers crossed that Krypton will be a good one.

That was what I thinking too, but I'll try to watch the whole season and see how it's play out.
