It looks kinda more like a double mouth to me, at least at the back. Or maybe a mouth sticking a tongue out, or something. (Perhaps mocking the people who say "It's just a copy of Star Trek!") But it's not totally unaesthetic, and especially if you figure - as with Trek for example - that much of the design, especially the engines part, is not chosen by a decorator. It's required in some way by the technology. In Trek even the shuttles have nacelles, and in this show even the shuttles have mini-"mouths" on the back.
I could probably come up with more, but if you erase this thread like you have others you started, I would have wasted my time (again).
