I would love to see a cameo of Shatner and Stewart. Two crusty old captains toddling around the Orville complaining about everything. Especially since "Discovery" has dismissed them and their work.

I feel like a Stewart cameo is likely. He and MacFarlane already work together. They just need to reach an agreement for him to appear on the show.
MacFarlane is a Shatner fan, so I'm sure he would love him to appear. But again they'll have to reach some agreement, which can be difficult.

From what I hear, Shatner demands more money than most are willing - or able - to pay.

Commander William T. Riker would also be a possibility since Jonathan Frakes is directing episode 5. ;)

That would have to be some kind of time-travel thing, since Riker wouldn't be born until something like 50 years later.
