Discuss The Orville

Since watching the first episode of The Orville, I couldn't help but notice that Isaac sounds exactly like Data.

Does anyone else think that?

To me, his voice sounds exactly like C3PO in the original STAR WARS. And of course the actor probably has Data in mind.

Hmm, I will have to listen out for that. C3PO hadn't crossed my mind.

I'll get back to you on that one.

Yes I mentioned that after the second episode in another thread. I also think Bortus sounds like Worf.

Agreed. I can definitely hear Worf.

Absolutely. The guy who plays Isaac definitely has inflections and intonations similiar to Spiner's. The guy who plays Bortus also sounds a lot like Worf. His delivery reminds me so much of Worf: "YOU WILL BE SILENT!!"

Hey Charles!

I'm getting back to you as I mentioned above. I agree with you also. I had to watch Star Wars before sharing my answer. Although I could hear the voice in my head after reading your reply...I needed to make sure.

I guess my overall conclusion is that...Data, C3PO and Isaac all sound alike. Ain't that something?! 🤔

It must be an android thing. 😄
